Just wondering why there is so much weight difference between my new B7800 and the JD 4210. They are almost equal in hp yet almost 1000 pounds heavier for the 4210? Initially I will be doing alot of Fel work (in which case the added weight may be a bonus) but eventually it will be more or less a lawn tractor ( in which case lighter is better). Any thoughts on this.

I am having information overload. Got to burn all the brochures now that I made my purchase.

The 4210 relies on heavy cast drive train components, bolted together, to serve as the frame of the tractor. ....

I will state that I have used the FEL a little since getting my 7800 and have not noticed it being "Light". I do usually keep a 3pt Blade or box on though. I also am sure the weight difference will be greatly appreciated when I begin mowing. Less wear and tear and rutting.
